Description

Acrylic on canvas. I was inspired by a photo from a beauty magazine. I titled this painting, "Before the Stage" as I feel it shows a girl who has just made herself really glamorous and gorgeous, and is looking at herself in the mirror just before she is about to go on stage to wow the crowds. I have enhanced her eye make up, giving her very large eyelashes.

I am really chuffed with this painting, and I hope you all like it too.

Paintings don't get as much credit as is due these days. I guess people prefer photographs or digital art, but I really like the emotion of her face. The creases in her lips are very nice and the shape of her jaw is graceful and exotic. I like this very much.
